ADVANCING MANUFACTURING WITH INNOVATIVE LASER SOLUTIONS
INTRODUCTION
Our mission is to further develop and digitally connect production technology, to make it even more efficient, precise, and future proof. In doing so, we want to make manufacturing and its upstream and downstream processes more efficient. This is how we build the industrial world of tomorrow. We are one of the market and technology leaders in machine tools and lasers for industrial manufacturing, and work with our innovations in almost every sector.
BUSINESS AREAS
Our software solutions pave the way to the Smart Factory, allowing us to implement high-tech processes in industrial electronics.
PRODUCTS
1. Disk Lasers (TruDisk)
From drilling the finest holes no wider than a hair, to welding panels in ship building, the disk lasers from market leader TRUMPF have been used in tens of thousands of installations around the world, impressing customers through maximum component quality and laser reliability. Whether it be a continuous wave or ultra-short pulse laser, disk laser technology demonstrates its advantages in the respective sector with both high pulse energies and high average powers. The lasers are particularly easy and flexible to integrate due to intelligent activation concepts with high functionality.
2. Fiber Lasers (TruFiber)
A compact footprint, long service life, excellent single mode (SM) beam quality up to 2 kW or multiple mode (MM) up to 6 kW as a robust “all-in-fiber” resonator concept – all these features make TRUMPF fiber lasers first choice for a wide range of applications. The 10 m SM or up to 20 m MM transport fiber and flexible laser communication and control options also allow our fiber lasers to be easily integrated into larger systems.
3. Marking Lasers (TruMark)
TRUMPF offers you a wide range of marking lasers in an array of power classes and with all common wavelengths (infrared, green, ultraviolet). They are suitable for marking processes such as engraving, ablation, annealing, discoloration or foaming. The marking lasers from TRUMPF not only process metals, but many other materials as well, including plastics, glass, silicon, ceramics and organic substances. Every single marking laser is assembled modularly, meaning it is easy to integrate them into your system. The standard TRUMPF delivery program contains up to five focusing optics for each marking laser type so that you always achieve the optimum processing result, regardless of your application.
4. Green Laser- Copper welding (TruDisk green)
Using a green wavelength, copper and other highly reflective materials can be welded not just efficiently, but also with high quality and great productivity, regardless of the material surface quality. Spatter formation is minimized as much as possible. At the same time, you benefit from maximum reproducibility. Whether for point or linear welding, the green laser light turns heat conduction welding and deep penetration welding with a constant welding depth into reliable processes. At TRUMPF you’ll also benefit from a complete package based on our proven TruDisk disk laser technology, several laser light cable outputs, processing optics, and an intelligent sensor system.
5. Additive production systems
From prototype manufacturing to industrial batch production. As a pioneer in additive technologies and a laser specialist since 1979, we offer the right technology for every metallic application requirement: Laser Metal Fusion (powder bed based laser fusion) or (Laser) Powder Bed Fusion (PBF/LPBF) or Laser Metal Deposition (generative laser deposition welding). Benefit from TRUMPF’s reproducible, high-quality results and industrial solutions with intelligent monitoring and smart services worldwide.
6. Programmable focusing optics (PFO)
The programmable focusing optics from the PFO line are scanner optics for remote welding and cutting. Using two mirrors, the laser beam can be positioned in any specified position within the processing field or space, or be guided along any seam geometries. They can thus be welded without moving the workpiece or the focusing optics. Additionally, no shielding/assist gas is required.
7. Brightline Weld
You can weld materials such as mild or stainless steel or even copper and aluminum with almost no spatter thanks to the patented TRUMPF BrightLine Weld technology. Our patented TRUMPF 2in1 laser light cable (LLK) always contains an inner and an outer fiber core. This means that within the laser, the laser power can be flexibly distributed among the core, the ring of the 2in1 LLK and the application-specific optimum. Depending on the material, the power distribution can be set so that it is ideal for the desired result.
